OK, call me chicken little if you care to, but I think enough of you to direct you to take a look at the USGS earthquake maps to see what is going on in California right now. This link http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsus/ will take you to the earthquake map, showing all activity in the last week. The red squares are quakes that have occurred within the last hour, the blue one within the last day, and the yellow ones in the last week.

If you look you will probably notice that many of the quakes are along a prominent and well known fault line.

Just thought you might like to know what is going on.

Mark

There are rumors in the business community that Mike Warren former Redding City Manager, now Turtle Bay Museum Director, is trying to get the covention center privatetized so the Mc Connell Foundation can purchase the facility and turn it into a large hotel complex next to the river. The Mc Connell Foundation has unlimited funds and would put many other businesses out of business. Do you know if this is true?

Are ther any local business plans to help new businesses to get into buildings in Redding such as lease deferments for the first year?

Rob, Don't be a pawn of the "news" paper. I suspect an agenda here that has stained a bunch of people in our dear old Redding. If you and I went to lunch, would that be a secret meeting? Should we exchange ideas here, do we have a secret agenda? The chance to have free exchange of ideas like this gives us strength. I think you dilute it by sharing when this was started about earthquakes. Just my opinion but, Stand up! Brother and start a thread that has something to do with the way you feel in your heart.
